Exceptional Touch is a small, family-run home care agency in Jackson. We hire caregivers, sitters and CNAs for non-medical work: personal care, companionship, meals, light housekeeping, rides and dementia care. We train, we check backgrounds, and we match each caregiver with a family.

The work

What the work is like.

You go to people's homes, most in Jackson and some in the towns around it, from Clinton to Brandon. Clients are older adults, including people living with Alzheimer's or dementia, and adults with intellectual disabilities.

The work is non-medical. Help with bathing and dressing. A hot meal. Laundry and fresh linens. A ride to the doctor or to church. Sitting with someone whose family needs a break.

We match you with a family. We provide training in Alzheimer's and dementia care, and every caregiver is background-checked before meeting a client.

Who fits

Patient. Dependable. Kind.

We can teach the work. We cannot teach patience. The caregivers who do well with us show up when they said they would, and treat every client the way they would treat their own mother.

  • Patient, even when the same question comes five times
  • Dependable. Families build their week around your visits
  • Kind, and still kind on a hard day
  • A driver's license and a reliable car help

On the application we will also ask about CPR and first-aid certification, Hoyer lift experience, short-notice availability, and anything you cannot work around, such as pets or smokers. These help us match you with the right family.

What a family said about our caregivers

“They treated and cared for my mother as if she was their mother. Very compassionate, caring, dependable and professional.”

Before you apply

What applicants ask us.

Do I need a certification to apply?

It depends on the role. CNAs use the CNA application. Caregivers and sitters use the sitter application, which asks about CPR and first-aid certification. We provide training in Alzheimer's and dementia care.

Do I need a car?

It helps. The work is in people's homes around Jackson, and some visits include a ride to an appointment or the store. The application asks about your driver's license.

How soon will I hear back?

Karmisha and Prentiss run the agency themselves. If you have not heard from us and want to check, call the office at (769) 572-5999.
