Door through door
Senior transportation and errands in Jackson, MS
Door through door, not curb to curb. The caregiver drives or rides along, walks your parent in, waits, and brings them home. Rides to doctor appointments, church, the pharmacy and the grocery store.
Exceptional Touch provides door-through-door transportation for seniors around Jackson: the caregiver gets your parent ready, drives or rides along, walks them inside, waits, and brings them home. We also run errands with them or for them, from groceries to prescription pickups. Non-medical care, not medical transport.

- WaitThe hour in the waiting room, together.
- HomeThe paperwork and the date of the next appointment, brought home to you.

How a ride works
What does door-through-door transportation mean?
We walk her in. We wait. We bring her home. A ride to the doctor is never just the drive. It is the hour in the waiting room, and the ride home when she is tired and wants to talk about it. Our caregiver does all of that, and nobody is left at a curb.
When you cannot be there, the caregiver brings home the paperwork and the date of the next appointment. If your mother has dementia, a calm, patient caregiver makes a strange building a lot less frightening, and ours are trained in dementia care. We agree on the car, the mileage and any limits at the free in-home visit.

Where we go
The doctor, the dentist, the pharmacy, church.
The first ride you ask about is probably a doctor's appointment. The ones that matter most come later. A standing ride to Sunday service, a Thursday hair appointment, lunch at a friend's house, a grandchild's graduation in Brandon or a family reunion in Madison. These are the trips that keep your parent part of her own life.
- Doctor and dental appointments
- The pharmacy
- Church
- The grocery store
- The hair salon or the barber
- A friend's house and family events

Errands and shopping
Can the caregiver pick up groceries and prescriptions?
Yes, with her or for her. Some parents want to push the cart and pick their own tomatoes. Some would rather hand over the list. Either way works. The caregiver shops with your parent or for them, picks up prescriptions that are ready at the pharmacy, brings everything home and puts it away. Groceries bought on Tuesday become supper cooked the way she likes it on Wednesday.
Errands are usually folded into a longer visit, so the ride and the help at home happen in the same visit. Tell us what needs doing each week and we build it into the schedule.
Non-medical care. This is not medical transport. We are not a wheelchair van service and we are not an ambulance. If your parent needs a stretcher or oxygen in transit, or help that only a nurse can give, we will say so and help you find the right service. Medication support is reminders only, not administration.
